In 2010, as a senior in high school, William began producing content on YouTube for the Call of Duty franchise under the moniker “xRags.” He was at the front of the YouTube gaming movement with a rapidly growing audience, playing and collaborating frequently with names that would go on to become YouTube celebrities such as theRadBrad, Tetra Ninja, and even Synwyn—who later became VP of Twitch Interactive.
Later that year, William left home to attend Baylor University and subsequently left the YouTube Gaming scene to focus on his studies—it definitely didn’t work. He dropped out and went soul searching. William reconnected with Tetra Ninja at PAX East 2014, where his love for gaming and content creation was sparked once again. In 2015, he began streaming full-time on Twitch under the moniker “Low5ive.”
Business was slow until the release of Psyonix’s Rocket League, where William focused his energy wholly. Within a couple of months, he was seeing more than 20 viewers for the first time—quickly reaching a consistent 500 viewers. For the last year, William has been building his audience and his brand before the next big step.
William plans to leave the comfort of Vail, Colorado, for the much busier city of Los Angeles to strike into voice acting, while continuing to stream regularly. Stick around and experience the journey with him.
